Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.

NW 21st Avenue from Oakland Park Boulevard to Prospect Road is a County road within the City of Oakland Park. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) recently completed a Mobility Improvement Project on NW 21st Avenue from Oakland Park Boulevard to Commercial Boulevard which includes this road segment. Improvements included a bridge replacement (over SFWMD's C-13 canal) and the installation of Complete Streets elements such as designated bicycle lanes, sidewalk replacement, ADA curb ramp upgrades, signage, drainage, signalization, and other associated improvements. The FDOT project did not include any landscape enhancements.
