Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.47(a), Award and Execution Authority, Board shall make all awards with a value of more than $500,000, inclusive of the value of any renewals or extensions provided for in the contract.
What Action Accomplishes
Approves the agreement with Woolpert, Inc. to provide Technical Solutions for Advanced Planning Services at the Broward County Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the North Perry Airport.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) participation goal of 7% for this project. Woolpert, Inc. has committed to 9% DBE participation, which has been reviewed and approved by the OESBD (Exhibit 2).
The purpose of this agreement is to provide professional consultant services and technical assistance in technical solutions for advanced planning services for the Broward County Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International and North Perry Airports (Exhibit 1).
