Section 2-40(a) of the Broward County Code of Ordinances requires that the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") authorize any commercial activities or occupation of any portion of Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ("FLL").

What Action Accomplishes
Enters into a new five year License Agreement between Broward County and New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC ("ATT Agreement") and provides for a License Fee over the term of the agreement in the estimated amount of $1,061,826.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This action provides for the approval of a License Agreement for New Cingular Wireless PCS, LLC ("ATT") to permit the use of a portion of the airport for the installation, operation, and maintenance of equipment for cellular personal communication service.

ATT has installed equipment throughout the airport to provide for better cellular signal, capacity, and speed for the subscribers on their network. The enhanced cellular capabilities benefit the passengers, tenants, and employees at the airport.

The proposed License Agreement will be for a five-year period, with an effective date of December 14, 2021, and terminating five years from the effective date. The License Fee in the proposed License Agreeme...
