Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Resolution (Exhibit 1) will convey a sidewalk easement measuring approximately 130 feet by 10 feet and two triangular-shaped parcels of land, both measuring approximately 30 feet by 30 feet, from Chief Real Estate LLC to Broward County. The easement is located along the west side of SE 3rd Avenue, a County road, between SE 9th Street and SE 10th Street in the City of Fort Lauderdale. The parcels are located on the southwest corner of SE 9th Street and SE 3rd Avenue and on the northwest corner of SE 10th Street and SE 3rd Avenue. Locations of the easement and the parcels are shown in Exhibit 2. The executed Sidewalk Easement (Exhibit 3) and Warranty Deed (Exhibit 4) are required to facilitate future roadway enhancements and to provide adequate sight distance at the intersections.
