THE MOBILITY ADVANCEMENT PROGRAM ADMINISTRATION (MAP ADMIN) RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This item supports the Board's Vision, Values & Goals for "Cooperatively delivering an efficient and effective regional intermodal system" and the 30-Year Mobility Advancement Program Goal to "Enhance Multimodal Options."

The Low Stress Multimodal Mobility Transportation System Master Plan ("Master Plan") will examine the transportation system in Broward County, with particular emphasis on available and forecasted right-of-way (ROW) to feasibly plan for a multimodal transportation network intended to: (1) enhance mobility and (2) promote equitable access to facilities designed to accommodate non-motorized users. Multimodal facilities are to be on public ROW, ancillary to roads, but separated from higher speed and high-volume motorized, vehicular traffic. Non-motorized use may include pedestrian, bicycle, and other personal conveyance devices (e.g., rollerblades, skateboards, scooters, e-scooters, hoverboards, electric-assist bicycles, wheelchairs, power-wheelchairs).
