Summary Explanation/Background

This item supports the County Value, “Consistently delivering responsive, efficient, quality services to the public and internal customers.”

 

2-1-1 Broward provides counseling and health-related assistance to the community through trained counselors.  It is important to ensure the continuity of this service before, during, and after emergency activations, such as hurricane.

 

This item, if approved, would authorize the County Administrator to negotiate and authorize a five-year license agreement at no cost to County with 2-1-1 Broward to utilized certain space designated by the County in the Emergency Operations Center during activations, subject to review of the agreement for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.
