Summary Explanation/Background

This proposed Ordinance furthers Value G:  Consistently delivering responsive, efficient, quality services to the public and internal customers, and Goal 4:  Building into every process and service effective checks and balances that do not cause inefficiency, but rather ensure consistency, continuity, and quality.

On January 25, 2022, the Board directed that an Ordinance be drafted amending the Land Development Code to exempt temporary uses from the requirements to amend plat notes and nonvehicular access lines.  The proposed Ordinance establishes the definition of a temporary use and delegates to the County Administrator the authority to approve such temporary uses, including temporary outdoor storage of construction materials, staging for vehicles and equipment, temporary trailers associated with construction or sales, and temporary surface parking during construction.
