Summary Explanation/Background

On June 5, 2018, the Broward County Board of County Commissioners granted Florida Power & Light Company a perpetual, non-exclusive easement for the electrical distribution lines to service the projected increase in electrical demand at the Southport area of Port Everglades. Due to a change of design during construction, Port Everglades requested that the County grants Florida Power & Light Company a corrective underground easement amending the legal description according to the as-built plans.
