Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item relates to activities in the Broward Municipal Services District. The Broward Municipal Services District (BMSD), formerly known as Unincorporated Broward County, consists of 11.4 square miles and has a population of approximately 15,006. The Broward County Board of County Commissioners is the governing body of the BMSD, and provides municipal services for the area, including business and housing development, library and park facilities, roadway maintenance, street enhancements, and zoning and code enforcement.
The Resolution (Exhibit 1) will convey a strip of land, measuring three feet by approximately 190 feet, from Rena Marie Moforis, LLC to Broward County. The parcel is located along the east side of NW 27th Avenue, a County road, between NW 7th Court and NW 8th Street in the Broward Municipal Services District (Exhibit 2). The executed Warranty Deed (Exhibit 3) is required to comply with the Broward County Trafficways Plan requirements and to facilitate future roadway enhancements.
The Resolution and Warranty Deed have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
