Summary Explanation/Background

On February 8, 2022 (Agenda Item No. 19), the Board of County Commissioners of Broward County approved the transfer of a parcel of real property identified by folio 4943 0700 0400 and located in the Town of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT). After recording the deed, it was discovered that the deed contained a scrivener’s error in the property’s legal description. The Corrective Quit Claim Deed corrects the legal description of the property.

All applicable Broward County agencies were solicited for potential County use for this parcel or rights therein, and no current or future use was identified.

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
