Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to grant an interest in real property pursuant to Broward County Administrative Code, Section 6.23.

Provides Florida Power & Light Company with a perpetual, non-exclusive utility easement to provide electricity to the East Expansion of the Convention Center.

Summary Explanation/Background

The Public Works Department requested that the County grant Florida Power & Light Company (“FPL”) a perpetual, non-exclusive underground utility easement to direct power from Grande Avenue to feed a duct bank that will provide permanent power to the East Expansion of the Convention Center located at 1950 Eisenhower Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale and serve other existing facilities that are currently being powered by an FPL vault, which vault is to be demolished.

 

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
