Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will assure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop a 110-Room Hotel on approximately 1.3 acres located on the west side of Federal Highway/US 1, between Oakland Park Boulevard and Northeast 26 Street, in the City of Fort Lauderdale.  The hotel will replace a 50-room motel that exists on the site.

 

The Development Review Report is attached, (see Exhibit 1).
