MOTION TO APPROVE Federal Aviation Administration Grant Agreement for Airport Improvement Program Project No. 3-12-0025-098-2022, in the amount of $900,000, for the design of the Taxiway A Pavement Rehabilitation Project at Broward County's Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, to authorize the County Administrator to take the necessary administrative and budgetary actions, and to authorize the Director of Aviation and/or appointee to execute the grant agreement and approve any non-monetary amendments to the agreement, subject to the Office of the County Attorney approving as to legal sufficiency.

Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") approval is required to approve a grant agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration ("FAA") and authorize execution by the Director of Aviation.

Approves the acceptance of an FAA grant agreement and authorizes the Director of Aviation to execute the grant for the design of the Taxiway A Pavement Rehabilitation Project ("Project") administered by the FAA in support of Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ("FLL").

Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action approves the FAA grant agreement for Airport Improvement Program Project No. 3-12-0025-098-2022 to provide federal grant funding for the design of the Project and authorizes the Director of Aviation to execute the grant.
The FAA will fund 75% of the design costs of the Project, up to a maximum amount of $900,000, and requires Broward County to fund all remaining expenses for the design of the Project in excess of the amount of FAA's funding, estimated to be $300,000.
