A. MOTION TO APPROVE Grant Agreement between Broward County and the State of Florida, Department of State, Division of Arts and Culture in the amount of $150,000 (subject to a County match in the amount of $150,000) for the period starting July 1, 2022, and ending June 30, 2023, for Cultural Division general program support to assist with the on-going initiatives and to supplement funding for the position of an Office Support Specialist; authorize the County Administrator to approve and execute the Grant Agreement and amendments thereto, subject to prior review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney; and authorize the County Administrator to take any necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the grant.

B. MOTION TO ADOPT budget Resolution to appropriate within the Local Arts Agency Grant Fund the amount of $300,000 (inclusive of both the state grant described in Motion A. and the $150,000 County cash match) for the purpose of general program support and funding of an Office Support Specialist position within the Division.

Why Action is Necessary
A. Pursuant to Chapter 20, Part V, Section 20.31.b.3 of the Broward County Administrative Code, grant agreements require the Broward County Board of County Commissioners' (Board) approval.
B. Pursuant to Chapter 20, Part II, Section 20.16 of the Administrative Code, budget resolutions require Board adoption.

A. Provides approval to accept State grant funding to support ongoing initiatives of the Cultural Division and to supplement funding for one position and authorizes the County Administrator to sign documents related to the grant.
