Summary Explanation/Background
The City of Pompano Beach staff reached out to Broward County Transportation (BCT) staff to investigate relocating an existing east side bus stop located on county right-of-way north of the 700 Block on South Cypress Road to a new location approximately 530 feet north and adjacent to the Sergeant Kip Jacoby Park and Norwood Pine Park located at 600 South Cypress Road, in Pompano Beach. To properly accommodate this request and be able to construct and provide an ADA accessible bus stop and shelter, Broward County Transit requested a perpetual bus shelter easement from the City of Pompano Beach. The city approved the easement via Resolution No. 2022-150 and executed the easement at their May 24, 2022, Board meeting.
