MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on September 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., to consider transmittal to designated State review agencies of a proposed amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan text (PCT 22-5), revising the Community permitted uses, as an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan, the substance of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, TRANSMITTING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN TEXT OF THE BROWARD COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN REVISING THE COMMUNITY PERMITTED USES; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
It is necessary to schedule a public hearing of the Broward County Board of County Commissioners prior to transmittal of an amendment to the Broward County Comprehensive Plan.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolution directs the County Administrator to set a public hearing for September 8, 2022, to consider transmittal of proposed text amendment PCT 22-5, which is an amendment to the Broward County Land Use Plan, to designated State review agencies pursuant to Section 163.3184, Florida Statutes, as amended.
