Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Urban Planning Division has received a request to vacate a portion of a 12-foot utility easement lying within Lots 1, 2, 3, 26, 27, and 28 of Block 4 of the Patterson Park Plat, as recorded in Official Records Book 39, Page 33 of the Official Records of Broward County, Florida, generally located on the west side of Northeast 2 Terrace between Northeast 56 Street and Northeast 56 Court in the City of Oakland Park. Vacating a portion of this easement will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owners.

The City of Oakland Park adopted Resolution No. 2022-041 on April 6, 2022, granting approval of the abandonment and vacation of a portion of a 12-foot utility easement lying within Lots 1, 2, 3, 26, 27, and 28 of Block 4 of the Patterson Park Plat.
