Summary Explanation/Background

Living Through Giving Foundation, is a registered 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization that promotes mental health to school children and teachers.

 

BRCA Strong is also a registered 501(C) (3) nonprofit organization that provides mobile mammograms to uninsured and underinsured women.

 

District 2’s office has remaining Fiscal Year 2022 budgeted funds that it would like to use to support the organizations listed in the motion statement above. These organizations need financial assistance to continue to carry out those efforts and it is District 2’s goal to further their respective mission through this proposed agreement.

 

Action is needed at this meeting, as this is the final regular meeting of the Fiscal Year 2022 budget year, and the item addresses a Fiscal Year 2022 budget allocation. Further, the item is being submitted as a supplemental item because the Commission Office was awaiting further information related to the entity being addressed.
