MOTION TO APPROVE Fifth Amendment to the Software License, Maintenance, and Support Agreement Between Broward County and Gencore Candeo, Ltd., d/b/a The Genesis Group, to extend the Agreement for up to five additional one year terms, through September 30, 2028, for an additional not-to-exceed amount of $66,000, to increase the not-to-exceed amount of Optional Services to $350,000, for a new Agreement not-to-exceed total of $502,000; and to authorize Mayor and Clerk to execute same.

In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.53, Board approval is required for agreements exceeding five years in length.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE OFFICE OF REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY RECOMMENDS THE APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Agreement provides for Support and Maintenance Services for the Genesis Software. The Genesis software is an essential services agreement providing for software tools to monitor, manage, and report on voice and data communications performance of the public safety radio system, and provides for subscriber access management. The Agreement includes telephone and remote support, system analysis, and software updates.
If approved, this Fifth Amendment will allow County to extend the term for up to five additional one-year terms, through September 30, 2028, and increase the not-to-exceed amounts of the Agreement.
