At its meeting on January 24, 2023 (Agenda Item No.15), the Board directed the County Administrator to publish notice of this public hearing.

 

Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

 

The Urban Planning Division has received a request to vacate a three-foot-wide sewer easement lying within Lot 7 of Block BA of Seabridge, as recorded in Plat Book 21, Page 46 of the Public Records of Broward County, Florida, generally located on the west side of North Birch Road between Northeast 9 Court and East Sunrise Boulevard in the City of Fort Lauderdale. Vacating this easement will provide clear and unencumbered title to the property owners.

 

The City of Fort Lauderdale adopted Resolution No. 22-120 on June 7, 2022, granting approval of the abandonment and vacation of a three-foot-wide sewer easement lying within Lot 7 of Block BA of Seabridge.

 

Review of this application by the applicable reviewing agencies indicates that there is no objection to the vacation of the subject three-foot-wide sewer easement.

 

This vacation application has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney (see Exhibit 1).
