Board of County Commissioners' approval is required to lease property pursuant to Broward County Administrative Code, Section 6.23.

Provides the County with a new ground lease agreement for the Hallandale Beach Branch Library.

Summary Explanation/Background

On September 22, 2009, the County entered into the Lease Agreement with City of Hallandale Beach wherein County leased from City the Property for purposes of operating a public library commonly known as the Hallandale Beach Branch Library.  The 2009 Lease Agreement expired on September 30, 2019.  The proposed Lease Agreement shall commence retroactively from the expiration of the 2009 Lease Agreement.  The proposed Lease Agreement has an initial term of five years from the Effective Date and provides five renewal options each of which would be for a five-year term, for a possible 30 year lease period if all options are exercised.

 

All documents have been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
