MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution amending Articles 3 and 4 of the Administrative Rules Document: BrowardNext for consistency with the Policies Section of the Broward County Land Use Plan, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, APPROVING AND ADOPTING AMENDMENT TO ARTICLES 3 AND 4 OF THE ADMINISTRATIVE RULES DOCUMENT: BROWARDNEXT ("ADMINISTRATIVE RULES DOCUMENT"), CONSISTENT WITH THE BROWARD COUNTY LAND USE PLAN; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Why Action is Necessary
The Administrative Rules Document: BrowardNext is adopted and maintained by the Broward County Planning Council for the purposed of providing assistance and guidance to local governmental entities and the general public and direction to the Council staff. Articles 3 and 4 are also approved and adopted by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners.
What Action Accomplishes
The Resolution will revise Articles 3 and 4 of the Administrative Rules Document: BrowardNext to implement BrowardNext - Broward County Land Use Plan text amendment PCT 22-1 as previously adopted by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners on December 6, 2022.

Summary Explanation/Background
The Planning Council, at its December 1, 2022 public hearing, recommended approval to amend Articles 3 and 4 of the Administrative Rules Document: BrowardNext for consistency with the Policies section of the Broward County Land Use Plan (Vote of the Planning Council; Unanimous; 8-0: Blackwelder, Breslau, Castillo, Gomez, Hardin, Rich, Zeman and DiGiorgio).
