Summary Explanation/Background
The proposed Ordinance amends several provisions of the Broward County Code of Ordinances ("Code") to reflect the reorganization of the County's Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Professional Standards Section and to clarify potential issues with Cone of Silence violations.

The Professional Standards Section of the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Professional Standards is now called the Professional Standards Section of the Human Resources Division. The proposed amendments reflect this change.

The recent reorganization also reassigned certain responsibilities from the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Professional Standards to the Intergovernmental Affairs/Boards Section.
