Summary Explanation/Background
The Transportation Surtax Ordinance established the Oversight Board, which is composed of nine members, and currently includes the person holding the position of Director of the Broward College Office of Supplier Relations and Diversity. Broward College has eliminated that position. Therefore, the proposed Ordinance, if enacted, would amend the Transportation Surtax Ordinance to replace that member category with a president of a local public institution of higher education or such person's designee provided the designee has knowledge and experience in supplier relations and diversity.
