Proposed language:

 

911 Public Safety Telecommunicators

 

SUPPORT legislation that revises the definition of "first responder" to include 911 public safety telecommunicators; includes 911 public safety telecommunicators within the “Special Risk” category for Florida Retirement System benefits; expands eligibility for workers' compensation benefits for post-traumatic stress disorder for 911 public safety telecommunicators; and/or requires employing agency to provide educational training annually that is provided by certain mental health practitioners who specialize in post-traumatic stress disorder.
