Summary Explanation/Background
PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION AND ENGINEERING DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL.
McNab Road is a County road in the City of North Lauderdale. The City of North Lauderdale desires to install and maintain a city monument sign within County right-of-way on the north side of McNab Road, approximately 600 feet west of the west limits of the Florida Turnpike (“Revocable License Area”).
This Item seeks Board approval of a Revocable License Agreement (“Agreement”) between Broward County (“County”) and the City of North Lauderdale (“City”) for the installation and maintenance of a city monument sign within Broward County right-of-way on the north side of McNab Road, approximately 600 feet west of the west limits of the Florida Turnpike (Exhibit 1). Exhibit 2 is a location map of this Revocable License Area.
The Agreement will allow the City to install the sign within County right-of-way and will obligate the City to maintain the sign. The County can terminate the Agreement with or without cause at any time. If the Agreement is terminated, the City must remove all improvements within the Revocable License Area and restore same to its original condition or to such condition as approved in writing by the Contract Administrator.
The Agreement has been reviewed and approved as to form by the Office of the County Attorney.
