THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, AND THE LIBRARIES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Broward County Libraries Division requests authorization for 13 employees to travel to Columbus, Ohio from April 2 - 6, 2024, to attend the 2024 Public Library Association Conference (Exhibit 1).
The biennial conference is recognized as an excellent forum that brings together library professionals to improve their skills, knowledge, and awareness in the areas of advocacy, personal and professional development, diversity, technology, and more.
The 2024 Public Library Association Conference provides the Libraries Division’s administrative staff with the opportunity to network with hundreds of library professionals and potential candidates for employment with the Division.
