A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO FEES CHARGED FOR PRODUCTION OF BROWARD COUNTY PUBLIC RECORDS; AMENDING SECTION 35.20 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE (“ADMINISTRATIVE CODE”); AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

A Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish notice of public hearing to consider adoption of the Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code was adopted by the Board of County Commissioners at its meeting of February 20, 2024.

THE OFFICE OF PUBLIC COMMUNICATIONS RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THIS ITEM.
The proposed Resolution, if approved, will amend Section 35.20 of the Broward County Administrative Code to allow the County to charge service fees for processing public records requests based on the lowest hourly rate within the pay range, plus benefits, of the job classification of the person(s) fulfilling the public records requests.
