Summary Explanation/Background

THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION, subject to staff recommendations and conditions which will ensure compliance with the standards and requirements of Chapter 5, Article IX of the Broward County Code of Ordinances.

 

The applicant is requesting approval of a plat application to develop 252 mid-rise units and 56,000 square feet of commercial use on approximately 5.3 acres located on the southeast corner of Wilton Drive and Northwest 7th Avenue, in the City of Wilton Manors.

 

Broward County Land Use Plan Policy 2.16.2 does not apply as the request is in compliance with the effective land use plan through the allocation of “flexibility unites.”

 

The Development Review Report is attached (Exhibit 1).
