MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on May 7, 2024, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of Governmental Center East to consider adoption of a proposed Resolution Amending the Broward County Administrative Code, the title of which is as follows:
A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO TELEVISION, FILM, AND ENTERTAINMENT INCENTIVE PROGRAMS; AMENDING SECTIONS 13.43 AND 13.45 OF THE BROWARD COUNTY ADMINISTRATIVE CODE ("ADMINISTRATIVE CODE"); AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE ADMINISTRATIVE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Summary Explanation/Background
At its meeting of November 4, 2021 (Item No. 45), the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") created an Office of Film, and established incentive programs for film, television, and entertainment production projects ("Incentive Programs") to encourage production companies to bring their activities to Broward County. At its meeting of January 24, 2023 (Item No. 13), the Board also approved a Special Projects Incentive Program for large film and television productions with individual awards up to $5,000,000.
