THE FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DEPARTMENT, THE ACCOUNTING DIVISION, AND THE LIBRARIES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Broward County Libraries Division requests authorization for eight employees to travel to Chicago, Illinois from June 22 - 27, 2023, to attend the 2023 American Library Association Conference and Exhibition (Exhibit 1).
The annual conference is recognized as an excellent framework for bringing together library professionals to share knowledge, enhance skills, strengthen advocacy, and increase awareness in the areas of diversity, information literacy, technology, and more to improve their personal and professional development.
The 2023 American Library Association Conference and Exhibition provides the Libraries administrative staff with the opportunity to network with hundreds of library professionals and potential candidates for employment with the Division.
