Summary Explanation/Background
The Broward County ("County") Highway Construction and Engineering Division requested the assistance of the Real Property and Real Estate Development Division for the the granting of three perpetual, non-exclusive underground and overhead utility easements (collectively, the "Easements'") to Florida Power & Light Company ("FP&L") on a portion of County-owned property located at 1850-1950 Eisenhower Boulevard in the City of Fort Lauderdale ("Property"). The Easements are attached as Exhibits 1, 2, and 3, respectively.

The Easements will allow FP&L to relocate existing light poles and guide wires located on the Property. The relocation is required as part of the County's ongoing widening of Eisenhower Boulevard from Southeast 20th Street to Southeast 17th Street and will allow FP&L to move three existing light poles outside of the road right-of-way to the front of a new proposed sidewalk.

The Easements have been reviewed and approved for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney.
