Summary Explanation/Background
THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE HOUSING OPTIONS, SOLUTIONS, AND SUPPORTS DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

This action supports the Commission's value of "building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives" and the goal of "delivering accessible human services that holistically address the whole person collaboratively and compassionately." Appropriation of the additional $750,000 of DCF fiscal year 2023-2024 grant funding (Exhibit 1) will assist individuals and families experiencing homelessness in Broward County.

Amendment No. 0008 to DCF Grant Contract No. JP003 increased the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 grant amount by $750,000 for an aggregate amount of $1,629,403 (Exhibit 2).
