Section 18.63 of the Broward County Administrative Code requires that donations to Broward County valued at $10,000 or more be accepted by Resolution of the Board.

THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION
During a site plan review process, Broward County Transportation Department (BCT) staff coordinated with the developer of a proposed new Mazda dealership to be located on the northwest corner of W. Sample Road and Coral Tree Circle in the City of Coconut Creek. The site is adjacent to the existing BCT bus stop located at 4101 W. Sample Road. The review staff, in coordination with the City of Coconut Creek, requested that during construction they build a larger concrete foundation for BCT bus stop ID No. 4858 and provided the specifications so that BCT could install a bus shelter at the site at a later date. The developer proceeded to purchase a bus shelter kit that met BCT's specifications and is donating the shelter and associated installation costs to Broward County.
