MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator to approve and execute Fiscal Year 2023 Grant Award Agreements, between Broward County and ArtServe, Inc., ($200,000); Destination Sistrunk Cultural and Community Investment Partnership, Inc. ($110,000); The Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre, Inc. ($40,000); and the School Board of Broward County, Florida ($10,000), for a one-year contract term beginning October 1, 2022, through September 30, 2023, subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney. Why Action is Necessary
Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") approval is required to enter into an agreement with ArtServe, Inc.; Destination Sistrunk Cultural and Community Investment Partnership, Inc. ("Destination Sistrunk"); The Fort Lauderdale Children's Theatre, Inc.; and the School Board of Broward County, Florida, as the applicants' funding request were evaluated apart from the regular competitive peer panel review process, with the recommended award amount approved by the Broward Cultural Council ("BCC").
