MOTION TO APPROVE Grant Agreement No. 22RRE03 with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (FDEP) for Advancing Vulnerability Assessments Among Under-Resourced Communities in Southeast Florida: A Multi-jurisdictional Approach, with a contract term effective upon execution through August 15, 2023, and a contract value of $325,000; and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same.

B. MOTION TO ADOPT Budget Resolution in the amount of $325,000 within the Natural Resources Division's State Grant Fund for the purpose of recognizing grant funds from the FDEP.

Why Action is Necessary
Motion A. In accordance with Broward County Code, Chapter 1, Section 1-20, action by the Broward County Board of County Commissioners is necessary to execute the grant agreement.
Motion B. County Commission approval is necessary to receive and appropriate grant funds and unanticipated revenues.

Motion A. Approval of the FDEP Grant Agreement enables the County to accept grant funding from FDEP.
