MOTION TO ADOPT Resolution directing the County Administrator to publish Notice of Public Hearing to be held on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 10:00 a.m., in Room 422 of the Governmental Center to consider enactment of a proposed Ordinance, the title of which is as follows:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF BROWARD COUNTY, FLORIDA, PERTAINING TO TRAFFIC REGULATIONS AT FORT LAUDERDALE-HOLLYWOOD INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT; AMENDING VARIOUS SECTIONS OF CHAPTER 2, ARTICLE VI OF THE BROWARD COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES ("CODE"); AUTHORIZING AWARD OF ATTORNEYS' FEES FOR PREVAILING DEFENDANTS AGAINST THE ENFORCING AUTHORITY; AND PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

Summary Explanation/Background
Every day, thousands of passengers travel to or from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ("Airport") in a motor vehicle and load and unload passengers and baggage in front of a terminal. It is critical that this process be as efficient and orderly as possible to avoid traffic jams and passenger backlogs. It is also important that the rules for vehicular traffic at the Airport be easily understandable and consistently enforced.
