Why Action is Necessary
Section 2-40(a) of the Broward County Code of Ordinances requires that the Broward County Board of County Commissioners ("Board") authorize any commercial activities or occupy any portion of the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport ("FLL") for any purpose unless specifically authorized by Broward County ("County").
What Action Accomplishes
Approves the Terminal Building Lease Agreement ("TBLA") between the County and Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services, Inc. ("Intercruises") to lease space in Terminal 1 ("T1") in accordance with the provisions of the TBLA, which establishes the payment of rent for the leased space at FLL.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE AVIATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action approves the TBLA between the County and Intercruises to lease space in T1 at FLL.
On May 8, 2018 (Item No. 2), the Board approved a TBLA between the County and Intercruises to lease and use space in T1 to provide meet and greet services to cruise line passengers at FLL. The current TBLA expires on May 21, 2023.
The proposed TBLA allows Intercruises to lease 71 square feet of counter space in T1, Arrival Level, to continue providing meet and greet services to cruise line passengers at FLL.
