MOTION TO APPROVE Master Contract No. JM020-15-2022 between the Areawide Council on Aging of Broward County Inc. ("Council") and Broward County, effective upon execution through December 31, 2022, to set the general terms and conditions applicable to Council grant contracts with Broward County that incorporate the Master Contract by reference; authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same; authorize the County Administrator to execute amendments to the Master Contract, subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Master Contract.

THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE ELDERLY AND VETERANS SERVICES DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE ACTION.
This action supports the Commission's value of "approaching human services collaboratively and compassionately, with special emphasis on the most vulnerable" and the goal to "effectively advocate for and acquire municipal, state and federal financial support to equitably address health and human services needs of the entire community, through a truly coordinated system of care." The Master Contract provides standard provisions for grant contracts between the Council and the County that pertain to the well-being of Broward County's elderly residents.
