MOTION TO APPROVE First Amendment to the Agreement between Broward County and LEO A DALY Company for Consultant Services for the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office and Broward Sheriff's Office Crime Laboratory Combined Facility, RFP No. S2115731P1, for design and construction administration services, increasing basic services from $597,361 to $13,005,883; optional services from $50,000 to $1,700,000 and reimbursable expenses from $5,000 to $250,000; and increasing the term of the agreement by five years from the date of the execution of the First Amendment; and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same. THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This item supports the Board's Value of "encouraging investments in renewable energy, sustainable practices and environmental protection", with the Goal to "proactively lead in the planning, design and construction of projects supporting resilience and climate adaptation, including coordination with other entities to foster resilient design as part of local and regional projects, especially shore protection efforts".
