MOTION TO APPROVE Third Amendment between Broward County and Triangle Services of Florida, Inc., for Agreement No. R1214808P1, Janitorial Services for Various County Facilities (Broward County Judicial Complex West Building, Bridge 4 and Bridge 5 - Contract No. 14), for the Facilities Management Division, to increase the agreement threshold in the total amount by $700,976, for a new total not-to-exceed amount of $9,798,291; and authorize the Mayor and Clerk to execute same.

Why Action is Necessary
In accordance with the Broward County Procurement Code, Section 21.47, Amendments, Board approval is required for contract amendment or amendments when the cumulative total amount of which is greater than execution authority of the Director of Purchasing.
What Action Accomplishes
Allows for the addition of electrostatic spray services at Broward County Judicial Complex West Building, Bridge 4 and Bridge 5, to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.

Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development (OESBD) established a County Business Enterprise (CBE) goal of 30% for this contract. Triangle Services of Florida, Inc. committed to 30% CBE participation, which has been reviewed and approved by the OESBD (Exhibit 1).
The purpose of this contract is to provide janitorial services for Broward County Judicial Complex West Building, Bridge 4 and 5.
