Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

The Office of Economic and Small Business Development established a County Business Enterprise (CBE) Reserve for eight of the resultant agreements based upon the respective locations and a County Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Reserve for six of the agreements based upon the respective locations identified in this Request for Proposals (RFP) (Exhibit 2).

The purpose of this RFP is to engage the services of qualified CBE and SBE firms to provide janitorial services for various Broward County locations for basic cleaning of restrooms, offices, and floors including cleaning supplies, paper products, pressure cleaning, windows, air quality, emergencies, additional services needed, and pass-thru items as outlined in this RFP (Exhibit 1).

This RFP will result in a total of 14 agreements and all are subject to the Broward County Workforce Investment Program.
