Why Action is Necessary
A. Work Authorizations above the award authority of the Director of Purchasing under Section 21.14 of the Broward County Procurement Code requires Board approval.
B. Board approval is required for transferring funds out of the reserve.

A. Provides the approval to procure and deploy 81 new Gen3 Power 911 Stations for 911 call processing at the Regional Public Safety Answering Points (PSAPs).

THE OFFICE OF REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
Work Authorization No. 16 is being executed to purchase, install, and deploy 81 new Gen3 Power 911 Stations that will be used for 911 call processing at Broward County Regional E911 PSAP(s). The existing Power 911 Stations were installed in 2015, and are being replaced to improve performance, maintainability, and to provide compatibility and integration with Next Generation 911 standards.
