MOTION TO APPOINT Deputy County Administrator Monica Cepero as Broward County Administrator, effective March 1, 2022, subject to Board approval of the terms of an employment contract, and to direct the County Auditor to negotiate and the County Attorney to prepare, for later Board consideration, a written employment contract between the County and Ms. Cepero.

MOTION TO DIRECT County Auditor to identify and negotiate an agreement with a qualified professional search firm to conduct a national search for highly qualified candidates for the position of Broward County Administrator; directing the County Attorney to prepare the applicable contract with the search firm; and authorizing the Mayor to approve and execute the contract on behalf of Broward County. Motion A is necessary to appoint a new Broward County Administrator. If Motion A is not approved, Motion B is necessary to retain a professional search firm.
