THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT, PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT, AND THE OFFICE OF REGIONAL COMMUNICATIONS AND TECHNOLOGY RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Contract No. V2113899B1 for Information Technology (IT) Temporary Personnel Services was awarded by the Board (Item No. 29) on September 14, 2017. The contract period began effectively on October 12, 2017 and expired on October 11, 2020. A 90-day extension was exercised, and the contract was extended until January 9, 2021.

Solicitation No. TRN2121458B1, advertised on August 7, 2020 and ending on August 26, 2020, resulted in a Reject-All. The IT Temporary Personnel used by the Transportation Department are funded with Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds and the FTA requires the hourly wages paid by the vendors to each of the temporary personnel meet or exceed the threshold established by the FTA. The FTA uses the wage rate published by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) for each job position in the Fort Lauderdale/ Miami Metropolitan Statistical Area as a benchmark.
