MOTION TO APPROVE Second Amendment to Agreement between Broward County and the City of Hollywood, Florida for Management of Hollywood North Beach Pocket Parks Parking Lots to extend the term through September 30, 2021, in substantially the form attached as Exhibit 1, with any nonmaterial changes approved as to legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney; and authorize the County Administrator to execute same and to take any necessary budgetary and administrative actions to effectuate the terms of the amendment. Summary Explanation/Background
THE PARKS AND RECREATION DIVISION RECOMMENDS APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
On July 1, 2019, through the authority granted to the County Administrator to take action during the Board's 2019 summer recess (Item 74, June 11, 2019), the County and the City of Hollywood entered into an agreement for management of Hollywood North Beach Pocket Parks parking lots. On July 22, 2020, the Contract Administrator exercised his option to extend the Agreement term for one year, and executed the First Amendment to the Agreement, extending the Agreement term through June 30, 2021 (the original agreement and first amendment are collectively referred to as the "Agreement").
