This item is related to two separate items on the Board's January 25, 2022, agenda: (1) a public hearing on a proposed Broward County Preventive Health Care Program Ordinance ("Health Care Ordinance"), providing for the levy of an Indigent Care and Trauma Center Surtax ("Health Care Surtax") of one-half percent (0.5%) for a period of 12 years, subject to approval by a majority of the electors of Broward County voting in a referendum election; and (2) a Resolution to approve the ballot question for that referendum, to be included in the General Election on November 8, 2022.
