Summary Explanation/Background
THE RESILIENT ENVIRONMENT DEPARTMENT AND THE URBAN PLANNING DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.

Chapter 163, Part II, Florida Statutes requires the comprehensive plan to contain a Capital Improvements Element (CIE) which must include a schedule of capital improvements which lists any publicly funded projects of federal, state, or local government; projects necessary to ensure that adopted level-of-service standards are achieved and maintained for at least a five-year period; and projects included in the Broward Metropolitan Planning Organization's Transportation Improvement Program. This schedule must be enacted annually into the CIE after the new budgets are adopted.
