MOTION TO AUTHORIZE County Administrator to execute Fourth Amendment to Agreement No. 18-CP-CSA-JRACH-01, between Broward County and Junior Achievement of South Florida Inc. subject to review for legal sufficiency by the Office of the County Attorney to add non-recurring funding to the Agreement in the amount of $200,000 to support youth participation in the workforce development program, effective retroactively from October 1, 2021, through September 30, 2022; and authorize the County Administrator to take all necessary administrative and budgetary actions to implement the Agreement as amended.

THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT AND THE COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS DIVISION RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
This action supports the Commission's value of "approaching human services collaboratively and compassionately, with special emphasis on the most vulnerable" and the goal to "collaborate with public and private partners to find creative, equitable, and responsible solutions to systemic community problems, especially permanent, supportive housing for persons experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness." The additional funds support youth's participation in JA's workforce development program.
Retroactive approval is requested due to the delay in Broward County's receipt of the budget information required for the Amendment.
