Summary Explanation/Background
THE PURCHASING DIVISION AND THE TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT RECOMMEND APPROVAL OF THE ABOVE MOTION.
The Office of Economic and Small Business Development reviewed the scope of work and determined that this project is Race-Neutral and will not contain race-conscious contract goals (Exhibit 2).
The purpose of this contract is for the purchase of "side post" and "top post" maintenance-free bus batteries for transit buses for the Broward County Transportation Department and various other Broward County agencies that may have a need for these products in accordance with the Specifications and Requirement section.
